Terms of service

The purpose, current limits and authorization expectations of the private Janelle.OS application.

Effective November 3, 2026 · Current connection and qualification status

Purpose and availability

Janelle.OS is a private, local-first personal assistant. This website provides its public identity, product information and privacy disclosures. It is not the application workspace and does not offer public account creation, a hosted calendar dashboard, subscriptions or a public API.

The Google Calendar connection has been configured and its two grants verified. External event execution is still in integration and qualification. These pages do not announce v1 release readiness or promise an already available Calendar execution service.

Accounts, permissions and approval

Connect only a Google account and calendar you are authorized to use. Calendar access is limited to the permissions disclosed in the privacy policy. Connecting an account does not authorize an event or other external mutation.

The v1 workflow being completed requires an exact proposal and the existing trusted passkey approval path before an external action. An approval for one target or action cannot be reused for a materially different one. Broader scopes, unrelated providers, credential recovery or additional capabilities require their own authorization.

Proposals, results and uncertainty

A recommendation is a proposal, not a statement that an external action has already occurred. A submitted or accepted provider request is not equivalent to a verified result. The intended workflow must independently read back the provider object before reporting successful completion.

Google service failures, network loss, revoked access or changes made directly in Google Calendar can interrupt or invalidate an operation. An uncertain result must remain explicit and be reconciled before retrying a mutation that might duplicate an action.

No completed Calendar event transaction is claimed at the current stage. A real, deliberately harmless transaction and its independent verification remain part of qualification.

Records, retention and recovery

Current-state removal is distinct from erasure of history. Historical revisions, signed approvals, receipts and backups may retain their contents. See the retention disclosure.

Rolling back local data is not a way to undo an external Calendar action. Accepted authority history and provider reconciliation state must be preserved during recovery. Any external change or cancellation requires its appropriate authorization; no automatic deletion capability is advertised.

Google services and revocation

Google Calendar and Google sign-in remain Google services. Your Google account and use of those services remain subject to Google’s applicable terms and policies.

You can decline consent or revoke the connection through Google Account connections. Revocation does not itself delete local historical records or replace the Janelle.OS authority credential. Google may revoke related grants together within the same project.

The Google OAuth project is In production with the same limited scopes. Existing-grant renewal, integrated Calendar qualification and the final release audit remain pending. Google may still expire or revoke authorization.

Contact and updates

Use the support email shown on the Google consent screen for questions about the private installation. These information pages contain no contact form and do not collect support submissions.

These terms are effective November 3, 2026. This website is public information about a private application; it does not grant access to the application or request Google authorization. Any future change to the application’s behavior or public terms will be reflected in updated documentation.
