A personal operating system
Private work.
Clear boundaries.
Janelle.OS is a private, local-first personal assistant for organizing records, goals and next steps. This website explains the application, its Calendar access and how it handles information.
A public identity.
A private workspace.
The assistant runs in a private local workspace. Its records and approval interface are not hosted on this website.
Janelle.OS’s existing authority system uses passkey approval, a Secure Enclave signing broker, typed changes and verifiable local history. Connecting Google Calendar does not, by itself, authorize an event to be created.
This public site is an information and privacy surface only. It has no application login, account registration, Calendar connector or access to the private workspace.
A deliberately small connection.
Two separate Google grants have been connected and checked for the same account: one for availability, one for app-created calendars. The connection uses only the permissions described below.
Availability
calendar.freebusyPermits busy/free time queries. The v1 integration being built limits queries to the selected calendar and a window of no more than fourteen days. It does not request existing event titles, descriptions or attendees.
Dedicated focus calendar
calendar.app.createdGoogle permits creating secondary calendars and managing events on calendars the app creates. The narrower v1 implementation being built is one dedicated focus calendar, explicitly approved event creation and independent readback. It is not yet a qualified production capability.
Account binding
openidIdentifies the Google account and binds both grants to the same account subject. No email or profile scope is requested.
Connection is not execution.
Verified today: Google sign-in, exact scope checks, account-subject matching and native Keychain custody for the two grants.
Still in qualification: integrated Calendar reads, prepared focus proposals, the privileged external-execution path and a real event followed by independent provider verification. No Calendar event positive control has been performed.
The Google OAuth project is now In production using the same limited permissions. Existing grants are being renewed and qualified. Calendar execution and the final v1 audit remain pending.
Awareness should be useful. Access should be specific. An action should be called complete only after its result is verified.
